Injections are an art form.
Here at Aesthetic Med Studio we pride ourselves in having some of the best artists in the nation. Results with Dermal Fillers and Botox are ALWAYS 90% Injector and 10% Product. When you’re getting injections, always remember that you’re not only paying for the product but for the expertise of the person injecting the product.
Did you know, that in the state of Missouri, any nurse can inject both dermal fillers and neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeaveu)?!
In the medical world, doctors and nurses specialize in one area to become highly proficient in their field. For instance, it usually takes about 4-6 years to become a cardiac nurse and hundreds of hours after to become highly proficient in that line of work. This makes them a specialist in that field. If you are to have a heart issue, you would want to be sure that the person taking care of you was one of the best in their field.
However, the training that the state of Missouri requires for a nurse to become a certified aesthetic injector is very minimal. Even though an injector can cause permanent damage if not experienced or careful enough throughout the process, the certification usually consists of a one-day course lasting only a couple of hours. As you can imagine – this is not enough time to train against all of the considerations of dermal fillers and neurotoxins.
At Aesthetic Med Studio, our Lead Injector trained under a Plastic Surgeon for 5 years and assisted in hundreds of facial plastic surgeries. Terms such as “Advanced Nurse Injector,” “Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner,” “Injection Specialist,” “Master Injector,” are just self-labeled marketing techniques to make clients feel like they can trust the person doing the work more. The truth is that the only label that really makes an important differentiation is a CANS certification. This CANS certification was established in 1989 for the purpose of promoting the highest standards of plastic surgical nursing practice through the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all aspects of the certification and recertification processes. Not only is it important to go to a highly trained specialist for aesthetics, but a facility that is able to handle any complication that may arise during the course of injections, lasers, fat removal or any other treatment being performed.
The world of cosmetic aesthetics is fun, exciting and always evolving to help deliver beautiful anti-aging results. However, it should always first and foremost be recognized as a medical facility and treatment. At Aesthetic Med Studio, we pride ourselves in our advanced level of training and consistent drive to always be better. One of our favorite ways to regularly pursue excellence is to fly in some of the most advanced trainers in the nation to give us sophisticated, innovative, and cutting-edge training on PDO Threads, Dermal Fillers, Microneedling and Lasers. This lets us always be on the forefront, and a leader in the industry when it comes to crafting beautiful results that make a huge difference.
